The military supply system is an intricate web of rules and regulations. Understanding and participating in the solicitation process takes significant time and financial resources. Manufacturers are expected to monitor and stay on top of all product requests coming from the government. They are expected to know how to package and label their goods, review contracts, ship and invoice according to strict specifications and using the government’s system. And if there are any issues along the way, they are expected to know how to solve them.
Meanwhile, manufacturers are often juggling upwards of 50 RFQs from resellers, placing a further strain on manpower and finances.
We saw the logistical and administrative burden our vendors were facing and knew there had to be a better way. We wanted to provide manufacturers with the opportunity to work closely with one reseller to guide them through the process. That is why several decades ago we were the first company to create and pioneer the Preferred Vendor ProgramSM (PVP). Since then, we have shared our expertise with more than 100 manufacturers, leading them through the system, step by step.
