Best of the Best for Our Vets

HAUPPAUGE, NY – Pioneer joined U.S. Congressman, Steve Israel, and about two dozen companies including, Northrop Grumman and Telephonics Corp., in the VetsBuild Business Advisory Council. The meeting was held on June 25, 2012 in Hauppauge, N.Y..

This new Business Advisory Council has teamed up with the United Way Long Island and The United Veterans Beacon House to create VetsBuild to use best practices and identify policy changes to address the overwhelming high unemployment rate of post 9/11 veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. VetsBuild will also assist veterans by offering counseling and guidance, as well as, training to hone their skills to gain employment.

The VetsBuild Business Advisory Council will continue to meet at Congressman Israel’s office on a quarterly basis.

The Military has Confidence in Pioneer’s Operation

COLUMBUS, OHIO – Pioneer Industries, Inc was recently honored by DLA Land and Maritime as one of the government’s best suppliers. The award ceremony was held on June 13, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency Ballroom, in Columbus, Ohio. This recognition was for a nearly perfect performance to the military’s stringent quality and delivery requirements to supply product. In the past calendar year, Pioneer has supplied just about 5,000 lines totaling almost 500,000 piece parts.

This recognition means the military has continually issued orders to Pioneer with the confidence in the product operation and an on time delivery.

ISAC with U.S. Congressman King

AMITYVILLE, NY – Pioneer’s Facility Security Officer and members of the management team attended the Industrial Security Awareness Conference (ISAC) hosted by U.S. Congressman Peter King. Congressman King is Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee and member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Pioneer participated in discussions regarding accomplishments and on-going terrorist threats. The information and ideas shared with the Congressman and other Defense Industry leaders were done so in an unclassified forum.
