WASHINGTON, D.C – U.S. Congressman Steve Israel, representing the second district of New York, visited Pioneer Industries Inc. to discuss the future of defense on Long Island. Pioneer has continued to hire staff and invest back in the local community even through the most recent economic downturn. Based on Pioneer’s success and continued growth, the Congressman plans to leverage Pioneer’s expertise and niche to development a Long Island Defense round table discussion.

FARMINGDALE, NEW YORK – Pioneer Industries Inc reported record breaking sales. Sales bookings in September 2010 were the largest monthly sales in the company’s 65 year history. The increase in sales is credited, in part, to the success of the Preferred Vendor Program, the Department of Defense ABVS vendor performance score of 98%, (which includes the 100% Quality Performance) and focus on customer and supplier relationships.

RICHMOND, VA – The Defense Logistics Agency’s (DLA) quality performance score for Pioneer is now a perfect 100%. This is based on more than 6000 line item shipments spanning the past 24 months.

COLUMBUS, OH – Pioneer has been selected by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to receive a 2009 DLA Land and Maritime Recognition for Excellence Award. The formal presentation will be made at the award ceremony during the DLA’s Enterprise Supplier Conference & Exhibition this August.

FARMINGDALE, NY – Pioneer launches a new brand image to better demonstrate the Company’s capabilities and align itself with the government procurement activities and the manufacturing community. Feedback from the military community as a whole has been very positive.

BUFFALO, NY – Pioneer met with representatives from both Cobham plc and Zodiac Aerospace to discuss best practices to satisfy military requirements for life support and oxygen systems hardware. Discussions included various processes including sales, military packaging, shipping, and accounting.

ALBANY, NY – Pioneer receives a grant from the New York office of Science, Technology & Academic Research (NYSTAR) for the STEP Program.

LADSON, SC – Pioneer’s management team attends a strategic planning session with Force Protection Inc to support spares demand for the MRAP.
