Pioneer Participates with other Industry Leaders and Educators in Aerospace & Defense Supplier Forum

Farmingdale, N.Y. – Pioneer was proud to be participate in an Aerospace & Defense Supplier Forum on Long Island.  Joining major companies within the industry, Pioneer was invited to a contribute in a discussion moderated by Congressman Tom Suozzi.  Suozzi is most well-known for serving on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, as well as the House Armed Services Committee.

The meeting served as a brainstorming session between defense contractors, satellite producers, and educators.  Executives from BAE, Northrop Grumman, Virgin Orbit, and Launcher also participated.  This effort to coordinate technology improvements with government demand was coordinated by New York University’s Farmingdale campus. 

Lockheed Martin Scores Pioneer a 100%, Again!

Dallas, TX: Lockheed Martin Corporation’s Missles and Fire Control has issued their Supplier Report Card. Pioneer has received the highest score, a 100% overall score. The score is based primarily on Qualit and Delivery. Pioneer received a perfect score in all areas. 

Suppliers are key to the overall success of Lockheed Martin programs, products and services. Lockheed Martin rewards exceptional performance with new and continued business opportunities.

Powering the Army for the Future

Columbus, OH – Pioneer Industries, Inc. was awarded a 5 year, long term contract (LTC) to supply heavy duty power supplies. These power supplies have been specifically designed to support the U.S. Army in the field. The total value of the award is $3,635,465.40.

Pioneer’s staff worked dilligently with numerous members of the supply chain to ensure these power supplies are being provided at a fair and reasonable price in a timely manner.

DOD on High Tech Island

This was meeting was hosted by U.S. Congressman Tom Suozzi. Other participants included Eric Chewning, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense and Manufacturing and Industrial Base Policy; David Logan, Vice President of C4ISR, BAE Systems; Patricia McMahon, Vice President, Supply Chain, Northrop Grumman; Camille Geiger, Senior Manager, BDS Small/Diverse Business and Strategic Alliances, Boeing.

Two Carriers – 2 Billion Dollars Savings

Washington, D.C. – On November 27th, 2017, Pioneer’s leadership was vocal in working with members of Congress to vote for the purchase of two-aircraft carriers. This two-carrier proposal will save $2.5 BILLION as compared to single-ship procurement resulting in significant savings to the American taxpayer, primarily attributed to increased efficiency.

As one of the Top 25 Aviation Cable Suppliers, Pioneer was called upon to help the DLA improve their procurement process of cables using industry best practices.

Farmingdale, N.Y. – October 27th, 2017, Pioneer Industries, Inc. received a 5-year long-term contract to supply “ALSET” multi-purpose Aviation life support equipment tester manufactured by one of Pioneer’s Preferred Vendor ProgramSM Members. Supplying this material will help the warfighter ensure operability of the various components within the inflight communication system. The total estimated value is more than $2,000,000 and the DLA has already purchased the annual estimated demand in the first release.

Pioneer handled all price justifications and negotiations with the buying command.

Based on the award requirements, demand surges are expected. Because of this potential urgency of the critical life support Pioneer will maintain inventory at the company’s 20,000 square foot facility prior to shipping to the appropriate locations to satisfy the military’s surge demands.
