Government Recognition for the Highest Gross Savings

COLUMBUS, OH – Pioneer has been recognized by the DLA for efforts as one of the top 20 small business suppliers to support the Land and Maritime Material Cost Reduction Initiative for First Quarter of FY12.

“Your commitment in improving productivity and cost efficiencies in all areas – purchasing, overhead, administration, manufacturing, etc. and passing those cost reductions to DLA represents a critical role in our efforts to achieve at least a 10% reduction in procurement costs.”

Other contributing factors for Pioneer’s recognition include business ethics, integrity, and other overall performance factors.

Pioneer will continue to strive to meet and exceed future cost reduction on military initiatives.

Ap”proxi”mately One Million Dollars

COLUMBUS, OH -The DLA has awarded Pioneer two orders exceeding $1,000,000.00 for proximity switches. These requirements were initiated more than two years ago. Over that time period, Pioneer has successfully worked with the military to provision a manufacturer as sole source to build switches that meet the Navy’s complicated specifications. After the source was approved, Pioneer completed several rounds of negotiations with procurement activity.

Delivery is scheduled for early 2013.

FARMINGDALE, NY – Pioneer Industries, Inc. reported that the calendar year 2011 was the most successful year in the company’s 66 year history. Sales revenue exceeded projections with total of more than a 10% growth over the previous year.

A contributing factor in this growth was the continued success of Pioneer’s Preferred Vendor Program. This year more than 20 new manufacturers joined the program, putting their confidence in Pioneer to help handle their military spares distribution and fulfillment. Other reasons include Pioneer’s Research Team and Pioneer’s new inventory management program.

U.S. Senator Schumer Visits Pioneer

WASHINGTON, D.C – Representatives on behalf of Charles Schumer, U.S. Senator for New York, visited Pioneer Industries Inc. Discussions included Pioneer’s role in supporting the local Department of Homeland Protection office and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Other topics included how Pioneer has been able to increase market share and their overall presence as a leading military dealer throughout the state, in places like manufacturing facilities in Binghamton and Lancaster.
The Senator’s office identified some areas for synergy with other defense contractors statewide and is planning a New York symposium bringing Pioneer and the appropriate parties together.
